summer is over, now bring on the cool temps!

With Labor day over and gone, I started to realize how close we are to the holiday months! If anyone knows me and my family, you know we do holidays BIG. I mean Thanksgiving, Christmas, Birthdays, you name it we celebrate it. Anyhow as our new fiscal year at work started this month I got to thinking wow I really need to put in time for Christmas before anyone else....and then WHAM it hit me it's September! Summer is over. Why is it still so dang hot out? I am so ready for the fall/winter and the cool temps that accompany those months. Hopefully I actually get to use my snowboard this year!
Life has been pretty crazy lately. It seems like all I do is go go go. The last couple weekends I've been up north- Ashley's bridal shower, getting my hair cut, taking the car to Hatch for an oil change, and visiting the family. Also my Mom, Sandi, and Chels come down for a girls weekend filled with shopping, dinner, and staying the night at the Buttes and hangin out by the pool and relaxing! Over this holiday weekend, G.R. was in our friend Matt's wedding. It was a beautiful ceremony. It was a little muggy outside in the heat/after rain afternoon but other than that it was great to be able to celebrate with Matt and Coby both who are such good people and we were very grateful to enjoy their day with them. Coby looked gorgeous and their receptions was amazing! Too bad I had a little too much to drink and didnt feel so amazing the next day but it was worth it! I'll try to get some pics posted when I get them. The rest of the weekend was a little more relaxed, but went by too quickly! This weekend we are headed to Roosevelt for the weekend with David and Vicki. Hopefully the rain holds off just a bit so we can have some fun in the sun.
I've become super crafty lately. I dont know if its cuz I need something to do while G.R. is being G.R. running around playing mayor helping everyone always moving moving moving. But I've started to become adventurous with my cooking and always looking up new recipe's to try. If only you had unlimited funds to buy the ingredients! I'm attempting stew for the first time tomorrow and then roast and mashed potatoes the next. G.R. is very good and willing to try everything. The only thing we both agreed didnt turn out the best was the chili, which wasnt too bad just not the greatest :) I also redid the coffee table Amy rescued for me and made some really cute art for my wall in the living room. Next I'm off to scrap booking, finish my recipe book, and mod podge letters and signs. So we shall see how it works out!
